Kim Kardashian rose to fame after her reality TV show with sisters Kourtney and Khloe achieved global success. But the Armenian beauty is more famous for her back side than her face. Kim’s voluptuous derriere and hour glass shape have encouraged women around the world to embrace their curves, but Kim is no stranger to plastic surgery.
The whole world has seen the new mom get Botox on her show and admit to enjoying plastic surgery treatments. But now that baby North has been born, will Kim get more cosmetic treatments? If her hubby to be, Kanye West, has anything to say about it, no way.
Sources say the rapper and baby daddy of little North West has cut Kim off from getting plastic surgery. West, who lost his mother Donda West from complications with a cosmetic procedure, insists Kim stay away from major treatments like liposuction and other more invasive procedures.
The issue began after Kim gave birth to baby North West and planned on having the infamous Mommy Makeover procedure, which involves liposuction and a tummy tuck.
“Kim was certain that she wanted to have surgery after giving birth because she wanted a head start on losing her baby weight,” said a source close to Kim. But once Kanye got wind of her plans, the source said, “He really flipped out.”
For Kanye, Kim needed to make sure her baby and her own life came first before her looks – looks, it must be said, that shot her on her road to fame and success to begin with. It’s understandable that Kim wants to get back to her pre-pregnancy body, and the Mommy Makeover is a very popular procedure, especially here in New York, where Dr. David Shafer has performed countless Lipo and Abdominoplasty combos on new mothers.
The procedures help moms look and feel their best as they get settled into their new life as parents. But for Kanye, the trauma from his mother’s death in 20007 was just too much to bear.
“Kanye was devastated by her passing and it’s made him extremely protective of those he loves,” the source explains. “He really put his foot down and told Kim the surgery ban is a condition of being with him.”
Will Kim listen to her fiancé or will she do what she does best – put her own needs first? According to the source, Kim took Kanye’s advice into consideration and opted out of the liposuction and tummy tuck plastic surgery procedure. But it seems as though she may be regretting that choice.
It’s taking Kim a lot more time than she envisioned to lose the baby weight, despite working out and eating healthy. She’s now feeling self conscious and has been keeping a low profile since the birth of her daughter because she doesn’t feel confident about her body.
Kanye is just shrugging it off, but for Kim and many other moms, the road to getting the pre-baby bod back is no small feat. Kanye doesn’t mind Botox and other minimally invasive treatments, so perhaps the couple will find a middle ground.
But should Kim really opt out of getting plastic surgery because Kanye said so? The decision to undergo surgery , just like the decision not to have surgery, is a very personal one. If Kim wants the treatments, it should be up to her, not her boyfriend, to make the final call.
