It’s no secret that Miley Cyrus wants the world to know she is not the sweet, wholesome Disney Channel star she once was. In an effort to shed her squeaky clean image, the 20-year-old former “Hannah Montana” star has chopped off her hair, gotten over 15 tattoos and has radically changed her wardrobe. But if anyone had any doubts as to what the young singer/actress is willing to do to achieve her transformation, last Sunday’s Video Music Awards on MTV laid those doubts to rest.
Cyrus got on stage wearing a leotard with a bear face on it and danced around provocatively with her on-stage crew (many of which were wearing bear costumes with oversized heads). She later removed the leotard to reveal a skin-tight, nude-colored, two-piece outfit and proceeded to perform her favorite move, the twerk. And let’s not forget to count the number of times she stuck out her tongue. We can only wonder what is really going on with Cyrus and why she is going to such extremes.
The last time we saw this kind of transformation was with actress Amanda Bynes, who has undergone four Rhinoplasty surgeries, breast augmentation, then implant removal, and who knows what else. She has become unrecognizable, and many fear that Cyrus will soon follow in her footsteps.
Will Cyrus dabble in plastic surgery? Will she know when to stop? At this point, it’s safe to say Cyrus isn’t planning on stopping any of her recent behavior changes anytime soon. Some speculate she has already undergone plastic surgery, but is there any truth to these rumors?
For the past two years, Cyrus has been wearing more provocative clothing, albeit nothing like what she wore at the VMAs, but still revealing nonetheless. Of course, the starlet is growing up, so it's normal for her to start identifying with her adulthood via fashion expression, and from the looks of it, one of her favorite assets to flaunt in her chest.
Cyrus has been photographed in several outfits that feature a plunging neckline or reveal her cleavage—cleavage that didn’t seem to be there before. But while Cyrus may just be maturing naturally, her breasts seem to have gotten bigger overnight and are round and a little too symmetrical for natural breasts.
Cyrus has never confirmed the breast implant rumors, but if she did get the surgery, she opted for a modest size that suits her small frame perfectly.
Who’s to say Cyrus won’t actually admit to breast augmentation or undergo any other kind of plastic surgery treatment in the future? Celebrities undergo a lot of pressure to look young and fresh, and many turn to treatments like liposuction, facelifts, and Botox to maintain a vibrant appearance.
It would probably be less shocking to hear about Miley Cyrus getting plastic surgery than to hear about her VMA performance, so we’ll be on the lookout for the next stage in her transformation.
