There are two approaches to Rhinoplasty – open & closed. The difference is that during an open Rhinoplasty, there are small incisions made under the columella (the small area of skin connecting the tip of the nose with the upper lip). Dr. Shafer performs both open & closed, and the decision is based on the patient’s desired results.
